Church Multiplication BOOT CAMP - Our Boot Camp is the best orientation and initial training for church planting, campusing and missional fresh expressions. Boot Camps are offered to you 3-4 times a year and offer participants practical principal-based steps to launching a missional movement. For more information about training for church planters. Live Sent - Discover Your Calling course with Groundswell - Is God stirring your heart for ministry beyond the walls of the physical church? In this 5-session course, you will learn how to discover your calling and effectively discern the voice of God in your life and ministry. Jesus told his disciples in John 20:21, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you”. It's time to discover your calling and “live sent”.
We understand that evangelism is very personal. Whether you have the natural skills, gifting, and personality to share your faith effectively without fear, or you have to apply more energy and effort to go after the Great Commission, we are here for you. Everyone can benefit from training and coaching that unleashes a movement of evangelism in you and those you lead. This coaching and training will allow you to practice and develop your personal approach to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Mobilizing Disciple Makers course with Groundswell - In this 6-session cohort, you will learn the marks of a disciple-making church and the steps necessary to create a strategic, comprehensive, and clear discipleship pathway. In addition, this cohort will help pastors move from blueprint to construction. This cohort is ideal for pastors interested in building a disciple-making process in their church.
The GLR provides custom-designed training for each church planter. As a church planter, you and your coach will discern which type of training best fits your calling.
The GLR has provided training programs such as Cultivate - Church Planter Training, Groundswell - Pioneer Training Center, CMC - Essentials, ARC Training, and many others.

A church planting residency is an intensive 1-year immersion program designed to prepare a church planter to launch a new life-giving church effectively. Residents will be given hands-on ministry opportunities along with coaching and training. Pioneer Training Center course with Groundswell - The PTC is a community of emerging and existing pioneers and a hub for encouragement, support, and ministry equipping. It is a place to discover your calling, develop your ministry skills, and better discern how to reach new frontiers with the gospel.
When God gives you His vision for a new church plant, He will always provide the financial resources needed to accomplish it. Church planters need training that will help them build a team of kingdom investors and raise the financial resources needed to launch a new church. We are prepared to train you for fund-raising.
The Great Lakes Region has trainers available who specialize in fund-raising training. Through our multiple partnerships, we can offer free training for church planters who desire to launch a fast-growing* congregation and become a missional movement of believers

Exponential Conference is a growing community of leaders committed to accelerating the multiplication of healthy, reproducing faith communities. Over the past several years, Exponential has served as a vision stimulator and community builder for the GLR, as we dream and strategize to expand God’s kingdom on earth. Exponential offers two gatherings per year. The large, global Exponential Conference is held in February annually in Orland, FL. The conference will feature 175+ speakers, 125+ workshops, 9+ tracks, and 5,000+ church planting leaders. This event typically sells out quickly. The local Exponential Regional Conference - Chicago is offered annually in October. Many of our multiplying churches have brought their staff to the global conference in Florida and their leadership to the regional conference in Chicago.

Many church planting models require specific training. We have access to multiple training sources, resources, and networking opportunities for models that may not be highlighted on our site. As a church planter, you will naturally desire to know all you can so you can do all you can. To fuel this desire for wisdom and growth, we encourage you to dive into the resource kits our friends at Exponential have provided. We can not stress enough how valuable and diverse this collection of free resources is. Here is our advice as you look through these resources.
Take the time and energy required to discern the voice, leading, and calling of the Holy Spirit. This is the most important advice we can give.
Take your time, and work through one entire kit at a time. Avoid the temptation to fill your plate and then not finish anything.
Take a friend with you. Having another person to walk through the content with us is vital in making the information come to life in your context. Having a friend for the journey will also hold you accountable to glean as much wisdom as possible.
Take a break to practice what you have learned. Knowledge is good, but wisdom comes from both exposure to new information and experience in practicing what you have learned.

What does Cultivate cost? There are two parts to the Cultivate cost: 1. The Cultivate Training online platform is $250. 2. The Coaching fees are $1,000.
